One Haircut at a Time

As professional Barbers we change the world one individual at a time. What are we talking about? Let’s look at the true power of a good Barber, a client has a job interview and is depending on you help make that killer first impression. A week later he comes back and informs you he got the job, now was that because of the Barber’s hair cut?? The same client has a blind date the following week and is depending on you to help make that killer first impression. A week later he comes back and informs you that the date was amazing, now was that because of the barber’s hair cut?? These events can change the course of the world because if you look at the bigger picture it looks something like this. The great hair cut given to your client allowed him to attain the job of his dreams. His confidence and attitude matched his hair giving him the ability to land his dream job. After which point he was able to attract the girl of his dreams who later turned out to be his wife, together they would start a family and live happily ever after. Bigger picture…none of this could have happened without that first impression hair cut. We are changing lives, one haircut at a time fellow barbers; one haircut at a time.

A Barber Movement

If our industry won’t recognize us, we need to band together and align professionals from around the world to have a movement. As Barbers what we do is who we are, but due to fear from the powers that be we can’t get ahead. We must become the decision makers and the ones that wield the power; we must take control of our trade and stop having others dictate to us what we already know.

What's Diffirent about today?

Today I woke up no different to any other day. Had breakfast, saw the kids off to school, then headed off to work. I work as a professional Barber, the most peculiar thing about my job is I practice every single day of my life at a skill yet have no opportunity to compete or fellowship with other like minded professionals. Imagine if Michael Jordan practiced for 15 years at shooting hoops but never played in the NBA??? Such talk is blasphemy; yet we as Barbers we don’t have a forum to "Show Off" our skills, a Hair Styling Show doesn’t count, that’s not an arena for a true Barber. We Barbers must unite and together we can be proud once again about our heritage and roots.

What sets us apart?

What makes barbers different than Hairstylist? Am I a hairstylist that just chooses to cut hair?? What sets us apart as trades men and trade women? Could a hairstylist spend a weekend in a barber shop or could a barber spend a weekend in a salon? HMMMM???
